"Two row spring barley is traditional raw material for the production of malt and beer on the territory of Czech Republic. Due to running on global warming there is higher frequency in the extreme course of climate influencing negatively both yield and quality of spring malting barley. For instance, in the year 2006 there is shortage of 1mil. tons of malting barley. In these years two and six row winter barleys are imported to the Czech Republic both in spite of the fact they do not reach the malting quality parameters of spring barley.
