"The objective of this study was to propose the least demanding propagation methods of red and white currants. Eleven cultivars of red currants and six cultivars of white currants were observed. Methods of propagation using hardwood cuttings (in the autumn and spring term) and softwood cuttings (in cultivars with difficult propagation by hardwood cuttings) were applied. The hardwood cuttings were planted in beds with irrigation. Covered box with bottom heating and automatic misting was used for soft cuttings. A share of individuals suitable for planting was the evaluation criterion. On the basis of the results is possible to say that the propagation using hardwood cuttings in autumn term is suitable for most of the tested cultivars compared to the spring term propagation. The best results of rooting were found in red currant cultivars Rubigo, Losan, Jonkheer van Tets, Jesan and Junifer, and white currant cultivars Primus, Jantar and Blanka. Difficult rooting was detected in cultivars Heinemann\u016Fv pozdn\u00ED (red currant) and Orion (white currant).
