"The aim of this methodology was to find suitable resistance markers against fireblight (Erwinia amylovora) for breeders. Another aim was to characterize genetic resources of apple (Malus x domestica) and pear (Pyrus communis) for commercial growing. Isolation of DNA is the base of molecular genetic mapping of resistance using PCR amplification. The methodology brings new principles of molecular mapping of resistance against fireblight (Erwinia amylovora) and specifies suitable and unsuitable genetic resources of resistance in apple (Malus x domestica) and pear (Pyrus communis). The methodology is original, actual and applicable in agriculture of the Czech Republic.
