"We review in this article all sociological studies carried out at the Centre for Higher education Studies since its establishment in 1991. The aim of the article is to make available information about the studies, many of whom are little known even to specialists but can be useful in writing about the history of the Czech higher education in the last two decades as well as in preparing new surveys. One of the main findings of our review is that most of the studies were conducted with the aim to inform policy making while less attention was paid to methodological issues, resulting in a number of surveys carried out on non-representative samples and using inappropriate techniques."@en .
