Multifunctional pilot unit is used mainly for testing of the effectiveness of various catalysts. It can be used for long-term tests and test this way the service life, fouling and loss of the activity of catalysts under real conditions. Catalysts for testing may be monolithic or sprinkled within the fixed catalyst bed. Measurements can be performed directly in the field or in the laboratory. The efficiency of the catalysts can be verified in order to meet emission limits for CO, VOC, NOx, or measurement of minor components such as SO2 and NH3.
