"The light source utilizes high power LED diode and it is compatible with industrial microscope NIKON Eclipse LV150. It is built as a replacement of halogen light source. The optical part consists of spherical collector lens. This lens was chosen based on analyses of microscope episcope illuminator with the aim to maximize light energy efficiency. The lens is placed in holder that enables optical setup optimization. The LED diode is cooled by passive cooler which is shielded by pained ABS plastic cover. The efficiency of LED light source is four times better than efficiency of halogen light source and twelve times better than efficiency of xenon light source."@en . . .
