The quantity and purity of the isolated DNA is comparable to the CTAB method and commercial kits. Isolated DNA is ready for downstream applications such as PCR, real-time PCR and restriction analysis. The advantages of this method are sensitivity, speed and price that is ten times lower than using commercial kits.
