"Software was developed in Matlab and is dedicated to control six-channel bond wire tester. It make use of internal PCI card National Instruments 6251 supplemented by profesional interface from the same company. Program has graphical user interface and has two parts: first for test sequence generation and part focused on measurement. First script allows generation of the arbitrary pulse sequence where up to nine bursts can be glued; each with different time window and pulse widths, inserting cooling delays and signal inversion. Data sequence is not directly described in time domain, time scale is chosen separately and thus can be used for expansion or compresion while overall shape of signal is preserved. Main program is aimed to address and sequential measurement up to six bond wires with up to six different currents of power source. Bonding wires are addressed digitally by using three bits. For each adjusted current we can use another four bits (2+2) control gains of a cascade connection of two amplifiers (13 possible combinations) for amplification of the voltage drop across bond wires. These are available since Kelvin probes are included on chip. Measurement can be considered as single channel to monitor robustness of the bond wires or two-channel for calculation of resistance changing (aging process). Finally achieved results are stored in text file for upcoming statistical evaluations. Time vector can be added to the output file as well as digital signals. Entire testing procedure can be stored and automatically loaded before start of the main program. For the purpose of hardware debuging all digital signals can be set manually and independently on the state of the measurement."@en . .
