The first order of the method of spherical harmonics (P1-approximation) has been used as the way to solve the equation of radiation transfer. Calculation has been performed for plasmas of SF6, PTFE and their various mixtures at the plasma temperatures in the range of 300 \u2013 35 000 K and pressures from 0.5 to 5 MPa. Main radiation quantities, namely radiation flux density and its divergence, have been determined in cylindrical arc plasmas for a model temperature profile. To simplify the calculation, the complicated frequency dependence of absorption coefficients has been handled by means of various averaging methods.
