The habilitation thesis is divided into several topical parts. Introduction of the thesis describes the situation in the field of alternative power sources in energy systems for low-energy houses. There are evaluated energy and economic aspects of alternative power sources and its usage. Other part of habilitation thesis is focused on description of knowledge systems and its possibilities within power engineering and civil engineering. The basic principles of using knowledge systems and general knowledge are described. On several case studies within energy systems there are stated possibilities of predicate logic usage and other languages of artificial intelligence for presenting knowledge.
