The projects relate to plants of the company which are located both in the Czech republic and abroad. The diversity of the simulation projects is high \u2013 ranging from comprehensive models for verification of the functionality of planned production concepts to optimization models aimed to support operational production management. This article describes a simulation model which tested the effects of concatenation of technological operations within a production line for transmission shafts by a conveyor. The simulation model was based on the library developed by the working group 'Verband der Automobilindustrie' (hereinafter referred to as 'VDA') VDA Powertrain in accordance with the respective standard for discrete event simulations within automotive industry.
