"The article deals with computational modelling of a radial jet interacting with an obstacle located parallelly to the jet and being of the disc shape. The disc was of the diameter of 550 mm and was located coaxially to the air terminal that generated the jet. The air terminal generating the jet was of the supply flange diameter of 200 mm and 4 mm of the supply slot width, this being located along the flange perimeter. The average jet exit speed was set to 10 m/s. Withing the series of the simulations, the mutual air terminal - disc distance was changed from the state when the jet was attached to the disc to the one when the separation happened, and vice versa. The hysteretic jet behaviour, depending on the mutual configuration history as well as the flow pattern, could be captured in this way.
