"The paper presents the comparison of the three following methods: 1) method of proportionate semi-quantitative micro-analysis of heavy metals in minerals, slag and ores (original method - PSA); 2) method of X-ray powder diffraction - XRD and 3) method of inductively coupled plasma mass spectroscopy - ICP-MS. Original PSA method consists of two steps: a) average composition of the basic powder samples establishment and b) chemical analyses of micro-particles in accessory minerals assessment; the contents of elements in these particles have higher atomic numbers than the basic powder samples have. The proportionate amount (in g/t) of the separated powder micro-particles of accessory minerals is estimated. To the comparison were chosen the samples of iron ore from the mine Tereza in region Star\u00E9 Ransko. The results determined by PSA method, e.g. the chemical content (trace amount) of elements in accessory minerals were verified by methods XRD and ICP-MS.
