"A lot of papers and essays regarding thermal treatment of feeders have already been written. However, all well known possibilities are still not well utilised. Respectively, by neglect or improper technical usage the money so far spent could be lost. The main goal of technological interferences is to improve the function of feeders and at the same time uplift productivity. It seems that thermal treatment of feeders is one such possibility and moreover in relation with numeric simulation applied at the stage of preparation of fabrication, it is a most powerful tool. Experimental methods based on thermal field measuring were used for the description of thermal sleeves behaviour in system metal-sleeve-mould. DTA analysis was used for evaluation of the exothermic behaviour of used admixtures. Numeric simulation was performed on NovaCast (v 2.5) simulation software.
