"The paper describes the tests of cylindrical milling of glass fibre reinforced composite, aimed to the observation and evaluation of wear of milling cutters made from new high speed steels on the molybdenum and vanadium basis and high speed steel marked 19 830. The influence of the tool wear on cutting force components is evaluated. The dependence of tool life versus cutting speed is evaluated for milling cutters made from high speed steel marked 19 830. The paper contains the results of high speed steeel drills (with and without coats) tests when drilling carbon prepreg and glass fibre reinforced profiles.
