"Although wood-polymer composites are more resistant to environmental and microbiological degradation than treated solid wood, this resistance is not perfect due to porosity of the material. To get denser product, there were tested several methods, such as increasing the share of coupling agent, or transform the production technology. Both these methods lead to cost increase of the production by the price of coupling agent or consumption of energy. Therefore, the possibility of using an admixture of waste and secondary raw materials as a participle replacement of hydrophilic wood filler is tested. The wood mass is commonly used in a form of sawdust with adjusted particle size curve, that does not include the fines to decrease the amount of needed matrix. The wood particles turn to crumble especially in the feeding process, so replacing them with more dimensionally stable inorganic admixture could improve technological properties of the product.
