"In practice, it is often to be found out that the decisive factor for the design and evaluation of thermoplastic structures, especially vessels, is the loss of stability. This paper focuses on the time development of the stability loss of a thermoplastic segment made from polyvinylidentfluoride (PVDF). It has been proved that when computing, the rheological behaviour of the analysed material has to be considered using, ideally, a viscoelastic material model approximated by Prony series.
