Using this method, the non-stationary movement of the free water level in the dike can be indicated, for example. The methods also enable to detect the piping in the dike due to the activity of animals. Some results are shown and discussed. The laboratory results of the electrical impedance spectrometry application in observing of internal processes in the dike body led to the decision to use this method in real conditions. The first immediate knowledge from new EIS monitoring system for in situ measurement is discussed. The tests are realized with device Z-metr2 and with system of vertically divided electrode's system works with two-electrode connection.
