"One of the main problems of water fluxion modeling in unsaturated soil zone is to obtain a relation between water pressure in soil and soil moisture. This dependence is obtained by measurement on the sandbox, and the compressive device is usually used for this analysis, but the process is moneywise demanding. Output of measurements is a set of discrete points (experimental retention waveform). This text describes construction of the sandbox by self-help on VUT FAST UVHK, also it contains an exact description of process and the verification an experimental measurements. Next problem of water fluxion modeling in unsaturated soil zone is an approximation of measurement of soil retention curve by theoretical curve by van Genuchten. Double curvature of curve causes problems from mathematical point of view when using classic regression methods.
