"The article describes a method of scattering analysis (ANOVA) which is used in particular for evaluation of effects of outer conditions (temperature, apparatus, operator ...) upon the results of experiment. The basis is a comparison of the mean values of several data sets, when we are also testing the relation between the measure of scattering of individual sets and the overall measure of scattering of all the sets together. The basic condition of applicability of the method is the normality of data. On the contrary, a potential collinearity of data does not cause any problems in this method of data processing. The individual factors may mutually affect themselves: this case is called interaction. According to the structure of input data, the scattering analyses are classified as those with repetition, without repetition, with fixed effects, with one or more than one factors etc. The method is also used in evaluation of planned experiments."@en .
