"The students was evaluated the hearing impairment during two-sided closure of external auditory canals for 8 hours with protective foam earplug 3M EAR Classic. Before the experiment and during its course the hearing was examined by tone and speech audiometry on the device Siemens SD 270. At the same time students filled in the questionnaire containing 16 questions focused mainly on subjective problems resulting from reduced hearing, especially on psychic and communication problems and localization of sounds in the surroundings. The form was deduced from the English original Hearing Handicap Inventory for Adults and was adjusted for model situation. The results confirmed that in sudden two-sided hearing disorder with average loss of air conduction 50dB an important deterioration of communication happened due to a reduced ability to understand other people. Impaired localization of sounds coming from the surroundings, reduction of the ability to concentrate on learning, unwillingness to mental activity, attempts to put off assigned tasks for the period after finishing the experiment and feelings of personal uncertainty in decision appeared.."@en .
