Research on traction drives with synchronous permanent magnet motors for railway vehicle is the Jan Perner Transport Faculty since 2004. Faculty has a special experimental stand with low-floor tram drive. In the beginning stages of a survey on the properties of synchronous motor with permanent magnets at short circuits. Other phase were devoted to extensive simulation and experimental research feedback regulatory structures moment. Recently, the research focuses on the issues of properties permanent magnets synchronous motor drive in terms of interference and electromagnetic compatibility.
