"Paper is devoted to the study of fatigue fracture of drive shaft. Drive shaft was on back wheel of soil machine. Main aim was to find out source of fatigue (material defect, overload or constructional defect) of part. Cracking were study by optical metallography and hardness measurements profile. Metallographic study show very fine structure (ferrite-pearlite) without meaning structure defects or inhomogeneities. Hardness measurements do not show any inhomogeneity too. For this reasons was fatigue fracture assign to design notch."@en .
