The PANI-CPE configuration was tested in the amperometric mode with respect to sensitivity towards ascorbic acid (AA). Firstly, the electropolymerization process was optimized finding that 5 potential cycles (n=5) formed the optimal PANI layer for further determination of AA. The operational potential for amperometric detection was investigated in a range of -0.1V to +0.6V vs. ref., concluding that the value of choice would be in the interval of Eop= 0-0.2V.
