"This paper summarizes the results obtained in research of synthesis and characterization of the homologous compounds ZnkIn2O3 +k. Single phase systems were prepared by solid state reaction at 1150 \u00B0C in the case of k = 5 and 7. Synthesis of single phase compounds with higher amount of ZnO (k) requires the calcining temperature of 1300 \u00B0C and higher. The prepared compounds have a rich yellow colour; which is highly resistant to sunlight exposure. The compounds Zn5In2O8 and Zn7In2O10 have the most interesting colour properties. In terms of particle size distribution, the compounds can be applied both to the organic binder system, as well as to ceramic glazes. In applications to the glaze they significantly lose intense yellow color. Two types of ceramic transparent glazes were tested in this work, namely: lead containing glaze G- 07 091 with firing temperature of 1000 \u00B0C and lead-free glaze P- 07 491 with firing temperature of 1050 \u00B0C. The lead containing glaze affords higher surface quality, including greater contribution yellow hue, higher gloss and no cracks."@en .
