"Posttranslational modifications (PTM) play an important role in regulation of different biological processes. Protein phosphorylation is one of the most widespread and crucial PTM. The aim of this work was to prove presence of phosphorylated proteins in proteome of intracellular bacterial pathogen Francisella tularensis (FT) and carry out their detailed characterization in order to determine the phosphorylation sites. We applied separation procedures using magnetic micro- and nanoparticles with modified surfaces either by metal ions, oxides or by specific antibodies for enrichment of these proteins.
