"Detection of toxigenic fungi was performed in malt houses and on barley seeds. The most frequent isolated species were moulds of genus Fusarium, Penicillium, Epicoccum, Cladosporium, Alternaria and Aspergillus. The results indicate considerable variability of individual strains in the formation of toxins. The extraction of Fusarium toxins and determination using Agra Quant(R) Deoxynivalenol Test kit and Agra Quant(R) T-2 toxin Test kit was carried out after incubation. The aim of the work was to examine the effect of selected disinfections on the growth and Fusarium toxins production especially of T-2 toxin. Appropriate nutritive media were prepared with different concentration of tested disinfections (Desanal A plus , ProCura spray and NaClO) and were inoculated with Fusarium moulds, then incubated. The results indicate considerable variability of individual strains in the formation of toxins. Strains of Fusarium poae CCF- 584 and Fusarium spp. (isolated from barley) produced large quantities of T-2 toxin.
