Host lattice of these pigments present Bi2O3 that is doped by Ho3+ and Zr4+ ions. Pigments with nominal compositions x = 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0, 1.2 and 1.4 were prepared by the solid state reaction and then applied into organic matrix and ceramic glaze. The colour properties of these compounds were measured in the colour space CIE L*a*b* in the visible region of light.
