"Some S. aureus strains are able to produce staphylococcal enterotoxins (SEs) and are the causative agents of staphylococcal intoxication. Like any other organism, S.aureus needs temperature, moisture, nutrients and time to grow. The presence or absence of oxygen, salt, sugar, acidity and the microflora in the environment are other important factors for the growth of bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract. The production of SEs is greatly influenced by environmental factors such as pH, temperature, atmospheric composition and aeration rate. Optimal conditions for the production of the different SEs vary. In our work the conditions (temperature, pH) for production of SEB were examined. Optimal temperature for production of SEB was 37 to 42 \u00B0C, the chosen strains produced toxin in the range 4 to 42 \u00B0C. Optimal pH for production of SEB was pH 6 to 7, SEB production range was pH from 4 to 10. The results differed in dependence on the used acid."@en .
