MICs of substances (Carvacrol, Cnicin, Thymol, Rosemary acid, Cvercetin, Arbitin, Catechinhydrate, Berberine Disulphate, Gallic acid, Ethylgallate, Propylgallate, Methylgallate, Hydrochinon, Hydrochinon-Methylether, Caryophilli aetheroleum, Carvi aetheroleum, Foeniculi aetheroleum, Lavandulae aetheroleum, Eucalypti aetheroleum, Rosmarini aetheroleum and Therebinthinae aetheroleum) extended in 5% dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) were determined by broth dilution method. Cnicin, Carvacrol, Thymol, Ethylgallate and Hydrochinon exerted good effects on Pseudomonas aeruginosa and other Gram negative microbes. MICs of these substances ranged from 600-2400 g/ml depending on bacterial species.
