"This paper deals with researching out-of-school physical activities of students who attend the higher grade of elementary schools in the region of Broumov. The research contained 203 children: 101 attending the 5th form; 102 attending the 9th form. Data were gathered through an anonymous questionnaire. It was found out that children perform physical activities which are not part of Physical Education on a daily basis. The results show that the age of children affect the frequency of daily physical activities, namely that the higher the children\u2019s age, the smaller their interest in out-of-school physical activities. In the 5th form, 44 % of children performed some physical activity on a daily basis; whereas in the 9th form, it was only 32 % of the informants. Boys devote more time to physical activities than girls. Favorite physical activities were the same for both boys and girls; sex influenced only the order of the favorite activities." . .
