"Potassium, uranium and thorium concentrations in cement raw materials (limestones and calciturbidites), extracted in the central part of the Mokr\u00E1 quarry, were determined by using field gamma\u2013ray spectrometry and laboratory gamma\u2013ray spectrometry. The concentrations were converted to the mass activity of 226Ra equivalent (am) in order to express gamma\u2013ray activity of the studied rocks. Very low mass activity values were found in the platform carbonates of the Macocha Fm. (only 12 Bq.kg-1 on average) and in the nodular limestones (so\u2013called K\u0159tiny Lmst.) of the L\u00ED\u0161e\u0148 Fm. (25 Bq.kg-1 on average).
