"The aim of this work was to find out how well pupils at elementary are informed about the problem of food intake disorders (FID) and suggest some precautions of primary prevention. Mapping of the situation was carried out through an anonymous questionnaire on a sample of 231 pupils of various school years at five elementary schools in Brno. The findings showed that boys are more satisfied with their appearance than girls. However girls have a better knowledge of FID causes than boys, they would also welcome more information. The field of FID is included at elementary schools only partly, which is closely linked with relatively low level of childrens awareness. In the future there will be a need to dedicate more time to FID and leave more space for their own expression and discussion." . . "000264733100078" . .
