Therefore research of properties of this nanoparticle is gaining in importance and popularity. Antimicrobial properties of silver nanoparticles are generally known. In this work we focused on examining the impact of silver nanoparticles on selected immune parameters in wax moth (Galerie Mellonella). Because of the similarities between innate immunity of invertebrates and vertebrates, the result can be used to simulate effects of nanoparticles on human. We used electrolytically produced silver nanoparticles about 100 nm in diameter in our experiments. The moth larvae in VII. instar were affected by the nanoparticles. 7 \u00B5l of a solution of nanoparticles at a concentration of 50 ppm was injected them through pseudopod just under the cuticle directly into the hemolymph.
