"The aim of this study was to describe species composition of oligochaete assemblages and to evaluate the influence of various environmental variables. The samples were taken in spring and autumn 2006. Two pond systems - the Czech-moravian Highland and southern Moravia were evaluated, 13 ponds in total. The samples were collected by quantitative methods: by a frame sampler in the littoral vegetation and by the Ekman-Birge bottom sampler in profundal zone. Parameters of water body, composition, age and number of fish stock were available for each pond. The results showed that the distribution of oligochaetous Clitellata was the most influenced the sampled mesohabitat, water depth, length of reed line, water transparentness and conductivity."@en .
