"Scientific discipline on the border of hydrology and ecology presents relatively new framework for extent of knowledge about exploitation of the water bodies and management with them, under the principles of sustainable development. Nowadays term of ecohydrology covers constituency of a partials elements whose cohesion was detected in the past, nevertheless it taking effect as late as the recent time. The implementation of the Water Framework Directive (2000/60/EC) was important impulse for claiming and progress of knowledge within the scope of the environmental hydrology, which enable usage of some ecohydrological principles practically. In the article a question of suitable application of the ecohydrological research on the small watercourses basins is solved, on the instance of a case study the Ko\u0161\u00E1teck\u00FD brook and its watershed in the M\u011Blnicko region."@en .
