"A bacterial microflora of dental plaque and oral cavity is considered as an important factor in the formation and progression of dental carries. The bacteria that may penetrate through the damaged dental surface to the dental pulp and roots canal play an important role in a further progress of the dental carries due to their metabolic activity. The aim of this study was evaluation and comparison of three typing methods for typing of bacterial strains retrieved from the dental surface and root of identical teeth. Totally, 21 pairs of streptococci and lactobacilli (in total 42 strains) isolated from dental carries and root canals isolated from early childhood caries affected children were originally chosen based on the identical biotype and the results of rep-PCR fingerprinting with (GTG)5 primer.
