Les test de reconnaissance bas\u00E9s sur les m\u00E9thodes damplification enzymatique (ELLA pour Enzyme-Linked Lectin Assays) ont confirm\u00E9 que les oligosaccharides pr\u00E9sentant un fucose li\u00E9 en 1-4 sur un GlcNAc (d\u00E9terminants de type Lewis a) pr\u00E9sentent une tr\u00E8s forte affinit\u00E9 pour la lectine.
