There have been many researches realized on this topic, which this fact confirms, but none of them has not been focused on the opinions of pupils of Primary and Secondary schools. Pupils are part of the school educational system and their opinion on big predators should be partially formed due to information they have from the school education. The purpose of this assignment was to find out attitude of pupils of Primary and Secondary schools from different parts of the Czech Republic towards selected predators. Pupil's attitude investigation was based on questionnaire inquiry. Among respondents there were included pupils from Primary school in High Tatras place, where is occurrence of all large carnivores those have never been eradicated by humans. As the results of the inquiry show, the information pupils about dangerousness of predators are distorted. Pupils perceive large carnivores as being dangerous to human more often than adults do. More than third of the inquired pupils think, that the wolf is aggressive and at the occasion of the meeting with a human can attack. Regarding the opinion of dangerousness of the brown bear more than half of the pupils are of the same opinion. The results of this work can reveal the level of information of the pupils which they possess and may be beneficial in raising of public awareness programs related to reintroduction of large carnivores back into nature."@en .
