. "The Draw-a-Man test was used in a longitudinal ethnographic research of school-age children. The drawings of first-fourth graders were likewise analyzed with the help of the drawing style concept. A latent crisis of artistic representation has been thus discovered. Discussing findings inspiration is drawn from the theorists of development from analytic to synthetic drawing (Jir\u00E1sek, \u0160vancarov\u00E1) and from the theorists of hieratic (versus direct) perspective (Uspenskij, \u017Degin).
