The biosensors consist of a flow reactor based on porous silver solid amalgam (AgSA) and a flow tubular detector based on compact AgSA. All chemical components of the reactor surface are mutually connected by covalent bonds. Decrease of oxygen concentration (directly proportional to the concentration of the substrate) during enzymatic reaction was amperometrically measured on the tubular detector under flow injection conditions. The described procedure should be universal and it was successfully used, e.g., for deposition of glucose oxidase, cholesterol oxidase and sarcosine oxidase at the surface of the porous AgSA-reactor."@en .
