"One of the important parts of chemistry education is an experiment. Quite often, however, we have to display phenomena and processes that cannot be demonstrated by real experiment, like many aspects of nanotechnology - a new prospective scientific and industry field with a lot of applications in common life. In this case we can use simple demonstrations, for example models. Here, we describe two demonstrations of nano aspects that can be used in chemistry at high schools. The first demonstration is an assemblage of three-dimensional paper model of fullerene C60. In the second demonstration we use 64 partially coloured wooden cubes to show that smaller objects (particles) have greater surface area, which affects the properties of nanoparticles."@en . .
