"This article describes the results of empirical value research conducted among college students, studying at various universities in the Czech Republic. We focused on structure of value orientations, defined in our value research conceptualization. The hypothesis for the research was built on the premise that different type of faculty (three types of faculties - engineering, educational and economic) is already at the beginning of the study (respondents were first-year students) associated with different value base of their students. This assumption was largely confirmed. While students of engineering faculties tend more to value orientations associated with conformism, xenophobia and nihilism, pedagogic students more preferred pro-family, religious and egalitarian value orientations.
