"Nutrition habits of Czech scholars. The food choice and vitamins"@en . "Nutritional habits of children are reflected in the metabolic processes of the organism. Smaller popularity of certain foods, if not otherwise compensated, can lead to inadequate intake of some nutritional components. The present study is based on the evaluation of the five day menu 1500 younger and older school children from Prague, Brno and Plzen. Children in most cases refuse eat fish, legumes and whole grain bakery products. In this part of the study, we focused on the of vitamins, analyzed data from consumed food. We found that the average intake of folic acid reached in older school children only 74 % of the recommended daily allowances (RDA) and 10% of children had an income of folic acid even lower than 35,6%. They also have low intake of vitamin D in younger school children 62,8%, in older school children 55,1 % RDA. 10% of school aged children received vitamin E in less than 58 %. The other evaluated from group B vitamins and vitamin C, the organism has been sufficiently stocked with children. The findings can be a challenge not only for further studies in this area, but also for nutrition consultant and any innovation in the food industry."@en .
