"A total of 151 Haemophilus parasuis isolates from pig herds in the Czech Republic were serotyped using coagglutination test. Serovar 4 was the most prevalent (43 isolates, 28.5%), followed by serovar 5 (35 isolates, 23.2 %) and serovar 13 (19 isolates, 12.6 %). Eleven isolates were serovar 12 (7.3 %), nine isolates serovar 1 (6.0 %), eight isolates serovar 2 (5.3 %), four isolates serovar 14 (2.6 %), two isolates serovar 9 (1.3 %) and one isolate (0.7 %) was identified as serovar 3 and 7. Serovars 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11 a 15 were not diagnosed. Eighteen (11.9 %) isolates were non-typeable. Different percentages of resistant isolates to selected antibiotics were determined by disc diffusion method: streptomycin 60.2 %, tetracycline 58.9 %, sulfasomidine 41.1 %, cotrimoxazol 27.8 %, amoxicillin 15.8 %, amoxicillin-clavulanic acid 13.9 %, cephalotine 13.2 %, ceftiofur 8.6 %, tilmikosin 4 %, enrofloxacin 3.3 %, florfenicol 0.7 % and tiamuline 0.7 %.
