"A total of 79 A. pleuropneumoniae, 71 P. multocida and 68 E. coli isolates from respiratory and enteral diseases in pigs were tested by a broth microdilution method procedure according to the recommendation of Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute to monitor to resistance to antimicrobial agents by MIC determinations. Using current break points for resistance with MIC determinations, all E. coli isolates showed higher percentage resistance to tested antimicrobial agents than P. multocida or A. pleuropneumoniae isolates. Resistance was not detected against colistin (E. coli). Enrofloxacin and gentamicin (P. multocida) and amoxicillin/clavulanic acid, ceftiofur, cefquinome, enrofloxacin or gentamicin (A. pleuropneumoniae)."@en . .
