"The drainage runoff and actual evapotranspiration (ETa) of different crops in different geomorphological areas were measured in the small agricultural catchment Deht\u00E1\u0159e (Bohemo-Moravian highland, Czech Republic). The aim was to evaluate if land use in recharge area is an important factor for drainage discharge rates and course within the year. By doing a double-mass analysis of runoff and by analyzing of the flow duration curves, it was found that some crops have the ability to influence drainage runoff by their ETa. Red clover in the recharge area showed higher ETa than cereals by 26 %, which decreased the amount of water that could infiltrate to the soil by 80 mm. Red clover\u2019s ETa values in the recharge area were similar to, or even higher than, ETa values of perennial grassland in the discharge area with sufficient water storage during the whole vegetation period. On the contrary, the root crops increased drainage runoff due to their low ETa values. The perennial grassland placed in the recharge area did not affect tile drainage discharge and its ETa values were similar to those of grain in the same geomorphological area."@en . "2"^^ .
