"The programmes are aimed at increasing effectivity of nitrogen utilization by crops and reduction of N losess due to leaching. Higher effectivity of N use and reduction of N losess to environment is important issue for both, farmers and environment. There are two models for download programmed in MS Excel, contributing to the above aims. The first one, simulates and visualizes depletion of avalaible N supply from a soil profile in relation to root system distribution and it calculates the shortage or surplus of N in soil for satisfying N demand of wheat crop at specific yield levels. Further, simple model for indication of nitrate leaching risk to deep subsoil layers is described.
