"The catch crops are evaluated mainly for reduction of erosion risk and nitrate leaching. The positive assets (success) of catch crops come to effect under condition of sufficient growth duration, canopy covering soil surface and formation of specific amount of biomass. The results of three-year field experiments with 10 spcies of catch crops showed the effect of optimal and delayed sowing terms on success of the crops.
