In years 2004-2006 two different water supply regimes were induced during grain growth in Prague-Ruzyn\u011B. The SRW was determined at the growth stage of anthesis and about the end of grain filling. The specific root weight of wheat was not influenced by the rate of nitrogen fertilization. The effect of soil moisture conditions on SRW was observed in the experiment. The wheat at the treatment with a shortage of water showed a higher SRW in comparison with irrigated treatment.
